Eastside Rice commenced operations in September 2012, purchasing and storing rough rice at our location in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Since 2012, we have grown our facility and expanded our business in ways that give us a competitive advantage in the industry. We have a current warehousing capacity of 5,000,000 bushels of rice and offer various purchasing and logistical support options for rice that we purchase, as well as forward-pricing and storing services to producers.
Eastside Rice is the northern-most regular warehouse for rice and is ideally located for farmers in northeast Arkansas and southeast Missouri. Our state-of-the-art facility is situated in the Jonesboro Industrial Park just off of Interstate 555, allowing for easy in-and-out access throughout the delivery process.
Eastside Rice offers a mobile app for both Apple and Android devices, which can be downloaded for free through the Apple or Google Play store. This grain drying app helps farmers determine the moisture of the air when their grain bin fans are running. The app also allows farmers to communicate directly with Eastside Rice to obtain up to date market information and events as they happen.
The Eastside Rice text messaging service sends out daily market updates, detailing the cash prices for the corresponding delivery period for rice that we want to buy. This is a great way to stay up to date on pricing without the hassle of calling grain marketers or searching the web for pricing information.
